Türkiye Defteri Dergisinin (1971-1975) Türk edebiyatı ve siyasal düşüncesindeki yeri ve önemi

Journals have always had a special role in reflecting the dynamism of our thoughts. The journal Türkiye Defteri was published in such time period that political and intellectual discussions were very intense. After the military coup of 12 March 1971, was disputed even more. The journalists of Türkiye Defteri, who wanted to go beyond simple discussion tried to critisize the ideology, intellectuals and the twisted understanding of history of the Republic. They were especially insistent that stories and novels that have been written after the foundation of the Republic do not reflect reality of the Turkish society and Turkish history. The journalists also critisized the common understanding of marxism in the country claiming that marxism should only be used as a method. They had efforts to build up an alternate theory, and in order to do that, they tried to devolop the ideas of Kemal Tahir, to whom they gave much importance and in order to do that, they gave much importance to the ideas of Kemal Tahir, and tried to devolop them. Even though The Journal Türkiye Defteri objected to the commen ideas its time, it couldn't be sucesfful in developing a new theory for problems of Turkish societe.
