Abstract (EN)
Companies in Turkey and in the world show democratization efforts as well as countries. An important factor of its realization is diversity management. Diversity is the gathering and grouping of people from different backgrounds, identities, and opinions. Diversity management enhances both the companies' reputation and democratization as a national policy. This makes a positive contribution both to the image of companies and to the image of the country in the world. Countries' enforcement of human diversity in employment based on countrywide or nationwide needs creates the practical field of diversity management. Today, we are still realizing the importance of the fight against exclusion and discrimination as it becomes impossible to ignore the benefits of diversity. This study compiles Oxford Analytics' data regarding Turkey and analyses on the development of diversity, and makes recommendations for companies in Turkey through the example of Balıkesir Elektromekanik Sanayi Tesisleri A.Ş.
