Abstract (EN)
The aim of this thesis is to determine the similarities and/or differences between Turkey's traditional economic actors ( the big holding companies of TUSIAD ) and the new economic actors especially established after 1980 (religious capital, members of MUSIAD) in terms of structure, management and entrepreneurial behaviours (e.g. holding structure, owners' effect on management, the level of professionalism, relations with politicians, sources of capital, expanding in different sectors). It is tried to find out why the organisations that use the resources in their surroundings to carry on their activities need organisations such as TUSIAD and MUSIAD and what kind of path they follow to manage difficulties in resource dependence. In this study, quantitative methods are used and the information of companies which are members of TUSIAD and MUSIAD is obtained both from their own websites and from the websites of TUSIAD and MUSIAD. In the study, TUSIAD and MUSIAD are also examined thoroughly in terms of their utilization of organisational and political power. Keywords: TUSIAD, MUSIAD, Organisational Power, Political Power, Resource Dependence
