Analysis of the oboe programs applied in conservatories in turkey, preparation of draft program proposal for Bulent Ecevit University State Conservatory Oboe Program

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk emphasizes the level of importance and cruciality for fine arts such as music, painting, sculpture and other art fields in his words "One of the life vessels is missing of a nation who is left without art". Music, which has an undeniable part in human life, also has an undeniable role in social life. Oboe, which is used as a solo and orchestra instrument, is also very common in classical music. Conservatory education programs include oboe programs as well as programs for other instruments. This study is aimed as a preperation for Bülent Ecevit University Oboe Branch draft program by analyzing education programs of some other Turkish Universitites that includes Oboe branches. The common and different properties of the programs are analyzed regarding the main objective, and these are considered for the preperation of the new program. 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade oboe programs are analyzed and these are considered for the draft program preperation since secondary level education in conservatories cover these classes which are consiedered as beginning phase. In the context of the study performed by scanning method; first the related resources are scanned, conservatory programs are analyzed and the method is finally decided after meetings with program development and field experts. The lack of common points and the amount of differences are observed during research on conservatory programs. It is hoped that this research would be a resource from which conservatory instructors, students, and the ones who are interested in this area will benefit from.
