Abstract (EN)

It is attempted in the thesis to investigate the applicability of industrialized building methods in housing and to determine which system would he more successful in the process of seeking solutions to the housing problem and in developing the mass housing concept in Turkey today. The study is composed of six ' sections. -The first section is introduction which specifies the objective. -In the second section, today ' s housing concept is explained, the factors influencing the housing requirements are identified ana it is attempted to specity the solutions in resolving the housing problem in Turkey. -Third section deals with principles of industrialization, the reasons for industrialization in building, building methods and the level of industrialization. IV-In the fourth section, The prefabricated systems employed in building are introduced. -Fifth section identifies the factors affecting the design and building processes of prefabricated systems. -Sixth section is conclusion, which includes the identification of the appropriate system through compansons among prefabricated systems, and a design based on this system.
