Abstract (EN)

There have been so many studies in many fields such as Psychology, sociology, and psychology of religion about the problems of refugees and refugees including immigrants, asylum-seekers, and refugees under temporary protection. From the past to the present, the impacts of migrations which were mainly caused by several pressure and forced displacement of civilians have still been in effect. It is thought that the acts of migration not only have an influence on immigrants but also affect and change the target country in a psycho-social way. In this sense, it is essential to contribute to this field of study and have some research for immigrants and receiving countries about psycho-social problems of individuals who faced several traumatic events during their puberty period (between 11 and 19). For this reason, this study is about the psycho-social problems of teenagers who were forced to move as an immigrant and struggled with several traumas at the time of war and also some spiritual and religious factors while overcoming their traumatic problems. The main objectives of this study are to show how these teenage immigrants overcome these traumatic problems after their migration to Turkey due to the Syrian war and what type of religious and spiritual behaviors are seen during these hard times in psycho-social ways. In this study, semi-structured interview technique was used as a qualitative research technique. As a result of reviewing the literature, open-ended interview questions were prepared. Interviews with immigrant teenage individuals from different parts of İstanbul were gathered. Some findings were reached after performing a content analysis. The study concludes 50 individuals who are in their puberty era and their ages vary from 11 to 19. As a result; it is understood that immigrant individuals who are in their puberty era have witnessed many different traumatic events including explosions, raids, fear of being kidnapped, being injured, and death risks. It is found that there is a correlation between spiritual and religious factors and the overcoming processes of psychologically jolted teenage individuals. Especially in Turkey, it is also thought that maintaining psychological and spiritual help can be very helpful for teenagers who are at their schooling age to make them adapt to society and deal with their negative experiences both individually and socially.
