Opinions of the "history of music" lecturers about the tecniques, the methods and the tools of the lectures in the department of musical education in Turkey

The main goal of this research is to determine the opinion of the lecturers, about the tecniques, the methods and the tools Departments of Musical Education in Turkey (DMEs). The research data were obtained by the literature search and by the questionnaire. The sample groups are consists of the university lecturers who have the music history education faculties of 18 universities in Turkey (Gazi University, Marmara University, Dokuz Eylül University, Abant İzzet Baysal University, Selçuk University, Süleyman Demirel University, Pamukkale University, Uludağ University, İnönü University, Cumhuriyet University, Yüzüncü Yıl University, Atatürk University, Ondokuz Mayıs University, Karadeniz Technical University, Gazi Osman Paşa University, Niğde University, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Harran University) which have at least two graduated students at the end of the education year 2005-2006. This research shows that acording to opinion of the music history lecturers the number of the tools are not adequate at the university. They have to use different tecniques-methods and tools rarely at music history teaching. The sexuality and the educational level of the lecturers are not important at about their opinion of the present music history education, but their employment periods are effective and their title have a partial importance.
