An evaluation on issues of Syrian immigrants in Turkey: The case of Bitlis

The aim of this study is to make an assessment on the issue of Syrian refugees in Turkey and Bitlis purpose is to solve the problems of Syrian refugees by making a qualitative research in particular. In this study, they mentioned the problems of Syrian refugees who continue to arrive in Turkey since March 2011. The difficulties / problems faced by the Syrian refugees were tried to be explained and the problems were tried to be determined by interviews with the Syrian refugees in Bitlis province. In Turkey, including reports published for the elimination of existing problems of asylum seekers in general, are discussed and solutions. The start of the Syrian civil war in March 2011 forced Syrian citizens to leave their countries. Hundreds of thousands of Syrian citizens fleeing the civil war were forced to migrate to neighboring countries and to relocate within the country. Turkey has become the mostly affected country in the region. In the beginning years of the war Turkey has accepted these Syrian refugees and has conducted open- gate policy towards them. Turkey, who thought that this war would not last long and these Syrians would return their country in a short time, have not kept a record of the Syrian refugees and not any legal measure have been taken against them. However, that Syrian civil war still going on has caused densely immigrations to Turkey and in this respect to occurrence of many social, economic, political, educational and health problems. In this study; located on an assessment of the problems of Syrian refugees in Turkey, and Turkey, a refugee from what happened to the origin of measures that track how emerging problems and policies / monitor that has been tried to explain.
