Abstract (EN)
LEAFY/FLORICAULA (LFY/FLO) homolog genes are required for floral initiation and development in flowering plants. Turkish endemic wild species Thermospsis turcica shows a unique morphological character among all species of Fabaceae plant family as producing 3-4 pods from a single flower. In this dissertation, we have characterized structurally and functionally LEAFY gene homolog, which is responsible from the establishment of floral meristem in flowering plants.
