Abstract (EN)
This study clearly demonstrated that; Evolutions and technological advances in social, economic, and political fields have interacted with each other throughout history and have deeply affected working life. Before the industrial revolution, in a period when processes were progressing slowly, the invention of the steam engine, which was considered the first industrial revolution, brought change with an acceleration never seen before. This revolution essentially triggered other revolutions and continues to trigger many social, economic, and political transformations by fundamentally changing the understanding and way of working. The next major technological change began with the use of electricity in production and is referred to as the second industrial revolution. The third industrial revolution emerged in search of a solution to the oil crisis of the early 1970s. Spearheaded by automation and information communication technologies, this revolution has been an indicator of the gradual shortening of technological change times. With the transformations in working life and the widespread use of automation, the doors of the fourth industrial revolution are opening. In the process of transition from the third industrial revolution to the fourth industrial revolution, in which automation and information technologies are intensified in business life, studies reveal that new technological advances will lead to radical transformations in every sector. In this context, the key elements of the fourth industrial revolution, known as Industry 4.0, include today's leading technologies such as the Internet of Things, 3D printers, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, augmented reality, virtual reality, smart factories, and industrial robots. Within the scope of this master's thesis study, the possible effects of advanced technologies on business life in the new industrial revolution period were analyzed in detail with qualitative observations. Data provided by both national institutions and organizations such as TÜSİAD, İŞKUR, TÜBİTAK and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, and international institutions and organizations such as ILO (World Labor Organization), WEF (World Economic Forum), OECD (Economic Development and Cooperation Organization) show that Industry 4.0 is working. shows that it has a profound impact on his life. Nowadays, the era requires a holistic transformation in the field of business processes and technology without neglecting people, because due to Industry 4.0, many professions will change and disappear, and many new professions will take their place in working life. This study examines this change from many different perspectives. KEYWORDS: Fourth Industrial Revolution, Industry 4.0, Working Life, Employment.
