Abstract (EN)
We can consider the concept of "support" as an approach to ensure the development of promising areas that have a certain potential and are expected to create added value. In this case, the element envisaged to be supported is expected to be able to exist without any intervention and with the support and incentives to be provided, its potential to create added value is expected to be revealed in the most efficient way possible. In order to produce a product or service, a production facility investment can be made with a certain financial resource, machinery and equipment can be purchased, raw materials can be procured and all production, marketing, sales and recycling processes can be planned. However, if many factors such as how profitable, useful, sales-oriented, environmentally friendly and sustainable the product and/or service will be, which is the result to be obtained by combining these opportunities, are handled together with design and with a design-oriented approach, a significantly high, value-added process and result can be mentioned. In this context, supporting design is not only important for design and its constituent components but also for the parties that will support design. It is seen that developed countries realize the added value created by design, invest in this field, create support and incentive mechanisms, and as a result, they have succeeded in becoming pioneers in many fields. However, developing countries such as Turkey are in much greater need of the added value created by design.Within the scope of this study, the current design ecosystem of our country has been examined with the design policies and supports provided to design, which have been created and implemented in line with Turkey's own parameters, and the relations and responsibilities of design stakeholders with each other have been questioned.
