Abstract (EN)
The systematic way of thinking and behavior, which spread throughout life with modernization, showed itself in the form of methodization in music and instrument education. Instrument methods developed for classical music instruments in the West began to be used in traditional Turkish music instruments with Westernization. Methodical studies on the kabak kemane, one of the string instruments of traditional Turkish folk music, have been started recently. Kabak kemane, which is one of the most important musical elements of the folk culture of Teke Region, has become a widely used element in all regions of Turkish folk music by overcoming its own cultural boundaries over time. Therefore, the interest and need for the kabak kemane instrument and its artist has increased, and the practices and materials related to the education of the instrument have gained importance. In this context, the aim of the research is to reveal the methodization processes of the kabak kemane instrument and to contribute to the education and development of the instrument. The research is a qualitative study in which case study pattern is used. In the study, the content of the published kabak kemane methods using the document analysis method was analyzed in terms of structure. In this research, 4 methods have been reached for the kabak kemane instrument. Among the results reached are the findings that systematic and symbols used in Western string instrument methods are used in the methods, all of the methods start from the basic level, different methods are used for intonation control, the historical development of the instrument is included in all of them, but there is no standard definition regarding the structural features of the instrument.
