Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to determine the fuel types that households in Türkiye prefer to use for cooking at home and the socio-demographic and socio-ecominic factors that are effective in their decision to use this fuel type. For this purpose, TURKSTAT's 2019 Household Budget Survey data was used. In the study, households' cooking fuel was divided into primitive and modern fuel types, and therefore the logistic regression method was preferred in the analysis. In the model, age, gender, total income, household size, education level, marital status, employment status, year of construction of the house, types of fuel ussed for heating, types of fuel used to obtain hot water and ownership status of the house were included in the analysis as independent variables. According to the results of the analysis, it was found that the education level and total income increased, and the house was built after 2000, and that households preferred modern fuel type more than primitive fuel type as cooking fuel.
