Özet (EN)

Contributions of SMSEs which are the indispensible factors not only for the economic life but also the social life to the employment due to their labor-intensive works, despite various properties and characteristics such as their elimination of regional differences, their productivity, their contributions to revenues of tax, etc., it has been seen that they have come across with a lot of problems because of their own structures and external causes, that they have not benefited adequately from national and international resources and that they remained far below the averages in terms of their contribution to the economy. The share of our SMSEs in the production, which have been accomplishing great majority of their production at the manufacturing sector and adopted the labor-intensive production style has a great and vital importance in respect to development of the country?s economy. The purpose of our Thesis is to reveal current situation of SMSEs and their contribution to the economy, and to evaluate their reflections by making analyses of average labor productivities of SMSEs particularly at the manufacturing industry. In this context, importance, advantages and disadvantages of our SMSEs and their current problems have been examined in our Thesis and employment and working conditions and studies for improvement of such conditions at SMSEs have been assessed; and share of SMSEs within the aggregate employment has been tried to be analyzed through statistics obtained from various sources.Additionally, financial aids and other supports granted to SMSEs within and without the public have been explicated in detail. In this study, data pertaining to SMSEs operating at the Manufacturing Sector of Turkey have been assessed on the sector and scalar basis; and while performing such investigation statistical data of government departments have been used, and libraries, web pages and reports of various establishments have been scanned in detail.Consequentially, in this study contributions provided by SMSEs into our economy have been dealt with in general outlines; share of SMSEs operating at the manufacturing industry in the production, annual wage per capita for the manufacturing industry, services sector and various scale enterprises in Turkey , average productivity of labor, capital income created per ?labor-year? and ratio of average values of share of labor in the production to those values reached at SMSEs have been analyzed, and although employment at the manufacturing industry shown a significant amount of increase every year in reference to the previous year, it has been concluded that the labor spent at SMSEs has not been satisfactorily and sufficiently efficient and productive.Key Words1.
