Job and career counseling profession in Turkey and problems of employees : The caseof Kocaeli İŞKUR

Unemployment has always been an important problem in our country as well as in many countries around the world. The solution of this very important problem is also possible with the use of different policy instruments, sometimes separately, and sometimes together. With the job and vocational counseling, the personal characteristics of the unemployed and those who want to change their profession can be guided by leri the right unemployed, the right job, the right course ğı, because the skills they have are compatible with the labor market, and by which consultants are more prone to work. In this respect, job and vocational counseling is the most cost effective method among active employment policy instruments. In this study ; Job and Vocational Counselor is one of the new occupational groups in Turkey. With the development of a new profession, some problems and problems were raised by the employees. The examination of the Job and Vocational Counseling profession, which has an important role in the prevention of unemployment, and its problems are important for the future of the profession. In the first and second part of the study, literature review was conducted and the subjects of Job and Vocational Counseling and İŞKUR services were discussed in a conceptual framework. In the third part of the study, the data obtained through the questionnaire were analyzed. In this study conducted with Job and Vocational Counselors in Kocaeli Provincial Directorate of Labor and Business Administration; 51.4 percent of the work done happily, 35.7 percent of the job is not satisfied with the results are reached. The common problems of the employees are wages and social rights, working conditions and work intensity.
