Problems and solution proposals for comparison of Common Health and Security Units (OSGB) in the framework of safety security legislations in Turkey

The Joint Health and Safety Units (JHSU) are the units authorized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security to perform work health and safety studies in their workplaces. The purpose of this study is to examine the problems arising from the legal arrangements and practices in the JHSU and the suggestions for solution of these problems. In this study, requirements for the establishment and legal basis of JHSU, application process and procedures to be followed for setting up the unit authorization process and caveat for hiring the services of this unit and alerts on topics such as a review was carried out. Also In addition, surveys were conducted on the problems arising from JHSU applications and the suggestions for solution of these problems for the individuals working in different specialization areas in JHSUs serving in Afyonkarahisar, Ankara, Bilecik, Eskişehir, Gaziantep and Mersin.
