Türkiye-Israel relation (1948-1968)

The main purpose of our study is to investigate the foundations on which Türkiye-Israel relations were established between 1948 and 1968 and what kind of course they followed. It has been studied how they are affected by the developments in the Middle East and the world. Their attitudes during the Cold War and their reactions to the developments were examined. In this context, the attitudes of both states and their relations with each other against the policies of regional actors and sovereign powers have been studied. In the introduction part of the research, after giving a brief history of the Jewish people, the establishment process of the State of Israel, the attitudes of the regional powers after its establishment, the approaches of the world countries and the policies of the sovereign powers were discussed, and how Turkey-Israel relations were in this process. In this study, which examines the attitudes of Turkey in this period within the framework of its own interests, its relations with the State of Israel and its attitude in foreign policy are investigated.
