Abstract (EN)

Although there is no question of any privilege between in gender and representation relationship in terms of the law, starting from the point of, women who make up half the society, could not have enough place in the political sphere constitute and they left this space at the discretion of men, in this study which is aims to address women's representation in political parties in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey between the years 2011-2018, the gender distribution of decision-making bodies of political parties, candidates and winning candidates by election period is examined. In decision-making mechanisms of political parties, rates of women in parliament and local governments, the obstacle of women's political representation is not only an ideological approach, but also factors such as political party structures, lack of education, established patriarchal culture and the social roles it creates have a major impact on the formation of this picture. The study was created by using qualitative method and descriptive approach.
