Abstract (EN)
In this study, banking sector have been researched broadly and development of participation banking sector in Turkey, private equity and public equity participation banks, and financial data of these banks, have been studied in detail. In the light of this information, financial conditions of private equity and public equity participation banks in Turkey, have been examined. Participation banking system known as Islamic financial sector, has been put a different and new complexion on banking sector. However, public equity participation banks were come into sight by the year of 2015 in Turkey and consequently participation banking sector has improved. In this context, this study has examined the development of private equity and public equity participation banks between the years of 2017-2021 in Turkish banking sector. Within this period, although private equity participation banks were in the forefront, public equity participation banks have been prominently improved themselves in the course of time.
