Abstract (EN)

Starting point of the study is to seek how public investments present spatial concentration and reveal this specific to Turkey. The aim of the study is to identify the spatial concentration of public investments for 2002-2014 periods in Turkey and defines the obliquity of political power in terms of public investments. The scope of the study is defined as 2002-2014 periods price in Turkey. It is dealt with 10 categories; public investments, agriculture, mining, production, energy, transmission, news reporting, tourism, domicile, education, health aid other utilities. Herfindahl-Hirschman index important in the economics literature is used to measure through concentration issued in this study. According to the results of analysis the energy investments are defined as having most spatial concentration kind of during 2002-2014 periods. During this period it is attained that political power realizes spatial concentration to energy investment to solve Turkey's foreign trade deficit in the economy and solve to energy problem the important element feeding the current deficit.
