Management of security sector in public administration in Turkey: Problems and solutions

Abstract (EN)

Providing security is a public service and also constitutes one of the principal duties of their state. It will be possible for states to maintain their assets by ensuring their internal and external security. For this reason, states have established institutions and organizations to provide internal and external security. These institutions created to provide security constitute the security sector and the management of the security sector is the basis of Public Security. In this study, the internal and external security organizations responsible for public security in the United States, France and Germany were examined and thus the differences between the organizations in these countries and the security organizations in Turkey were tried to be seen. As a result of the comparison, the problems experienced in the management of the security sector in Turkey were addressed and it was tried to bring solutions to these problems.
