The acclimatization problem in urban regeneration practices in Turkey

The purpose of this study titled ?The Acclimatization Problem in Urban Regeneration Projects in Turkey? is to demonstrate, whether the people living in physically and socially collapsed areas of cities adapted to cities as a result of urban regeneration projects.Within this scope, the study firstly has given place to basic concepts in urbanization literature and conceptual framework of urban regeneration; afterwards, it has emphasized on main factors which have a role in urban regeneration process.The domestic and foreign literature have been broadly used in study. In addition, at the final chapter of study, one of the nation-wide urban regeneration projects in Turkey, ?The Dikmen Valley Urban Development and Regeneration Project? have been chosen as the pilot project and done a fieldwork.Keywords:1)Urbanization2)Migration3)Gecekondu4)Urban Regeneration5)Acclimatization
