SMES in Turkey: Problems and solutions

Economy of our country faces an increasing competition caused by World Countries. Undoubtedly, The Small and medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) that constitute the backbone of Turkish economy is affected mostly with these increasing competition circumstances.Almost all of the total industrial enterprises in our country are SMEs.These enterprises which constitute 27% of the added value,costitute the main source of the employment with a share of 61%. Having an important place in the economy of the country SMEs are faced with some problems.Today, it's clean that SME(Small and Medium size Enterprise)'s don't have enough chance to benefit by the credits and incentives; and don't have as enough capability to take the advantages of added value as the rate of employment it provides. They are also faced with the problems of institulization, added value, r&d(Research and Development), innovasion, technology and financing.Beginning from 1980's, global competition has large extent of impacts on economics, SME's were erected to the view of economics of scale.There are found several financial, institutional and technological corparate body organizations to provide the improvement and to meet the requirements of the small and middle sized industry enterprises. Depending on these reasons, it's known that most of the countries in the world are formed legal arrangements to support and to protect the SME's rights.In conclusion, it seems that it will become a necessity to risen the added value of SME's and to support them for obtaining equity loan.Therefore, it should been made significant progress toward r&d, technology, ,innovasion and design which provide institutions and enterpreneurs big chances and opportunities to take a part in this competitive global bussiness organization.
