Abstract (EN)
Applications of flexible production systems have increased in industrial communities. It must be mentioned that there is close relation between flexible production system and small and medium sized companies. Within next century, small and medium sized companies will be most important economic unit due to increased importance of flexible production system. It is observed that progressive movement of small and medium sized companies has initiated within our country. Current problems of Turkish small and medium sized compenies must be solved and these companies must be done most important factor ensuring economic progress in accordance with progress occuring through the world. During this period on which all attentions are paid to small and medium sized companies, this thesis has aimed to discuss small and medium sized companies and the place and importance of small and medium sized companies within Turkish economy and to mention of current problems for organizational and manegerial functions of these firms and to explain that what kind of solutions can be produced for these problems xv
