Abstract (EN)
In this our study, it is determined that the effects of credit card use which is one of the most important tools of the banking sector on selected basic macroeconomic variables in Turkey. In first chapter, the evolation of payment systems until card payment system is examined.The second part of this study, the previous research on the relationship between basic macroeconomic variables and credit card usage is investigated.In the last chapter, the interaction between selected five different variables and credit card spending is investigated by an empirical study for Turkey. The direction of interaction is determined by Granger Casuality Test and the coefficients of relationships are determined by Least Squares Method.
