The Kurdish issue in Turkey and the peace process

Rapidly after the 1990s with a long history of attention has been collecting the Kurdish problem. The main reasons for this situation is the Kurdish PKK movement and increase back formed. In 2000s, it is seen that some concrete attempts were taken, because after the end of the Cold War human rights and democracy concepts began to dominate the world politics. In order to adapt itself to the liberal international system, Turkey has been faced with the question of finding solutions to its democratic issues deficiencies. Concequently the goverment has proposed the ?Democratic Openness Project? . Democratic Initiative Project today, in the most recent developments in the democratic opening process continues and begins to bear fruit. In the process, release of captive officers, weapons release and are examples of events such as the start of the withdrawal of the PKK. This process is part of the positive developments in the U.S., EU and other foreign countries are also supported.
