Centered Turkey made in Africa by ngos humanitarian aid and water well project sustainability on a review

In this study, the scope of contribution of Turkish-based non-governmental organizations in Africa is scrutinized. Humanitarian aid and especially water well projects, which are carried out as an alternative solution to the problems in accessing water resources in Africa, were examined, and the effectiveness and sustainability of these aids were evaluated. These projects are financed by donors through public and non-governmental organizations. However, it has been determined that many wells, that were opened through a low budget project, were just to ensure donor satisfaction since these became unusable after a short period of time. The period of service of these wells varies according to its type, and the accuracy of the commitments for maintenance and repair is being discussed. It has been understood that the moral feelings of donors and supporters are satisfied, but the requirements of those in need cannot be met in the long term. This study claims to reveal the extent of resource waste and various policy recommendations are presented to increase donor awareness.
