Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to identify the perception of nationalism relying on the example of Turkey and to determine the relationship between the nationalism and its dynamics in the the context of Turkey examples. The dynamics that are thought to affect nationalism are determined as: The Perception Of Internal Threat, The Perception Of External Threat and The Perception of EU. In this study, a relational scanning survey model was used to analysize the relationship between nationalism, internal threat, external threat and EU perception. Quantitative data were collected by the scale which is developed by the researcher. The universe of the research is Turkey. The schools have divided into 3 ministration areas and each ministration area have divided into 6 areas within themselves by the Ministry of National Education. Such elements like socio-cultural structure of the area where the schools are located, economic structure and etc. Were taken into consideration while those areas are being formed. While collecting the data, the 7 region of Turkey and the existing ministration areas and regions of the cities in every region like İstanbul, Trabzon, Van, Mardin, Ankara, İzmir and Antalya were taken into consideration. Scale applied twice for 6 months. The first data were collected from 280 people. Six months later, the questionnaires used to collect data were distributed to 3500 people and data were collected from 1250 people on a voluntary basis. As a result of the study, it was determined that the participants had high perceptions of "Nationalism", Internal Threat, External Threat and EU. In addition, the correlation analysis revealed that there is a relationship between nationalism and internal threat, external threat and EU perceptions.
