The role of media at the formation of architectural conciousness in Turkey

The aim of this study is, to confirm about the attitude of community conciousness after 1980 in Turkey by the way of examining the topics about architecture at media. Begining the claim of increasing the quality of building environment can only be possible by the architectural conciousness at the community, the topics about architecture at media after 1980 have been examined in this study. This examining has been made in three parts which are the architectural media, newspapers and television that are named general media in the frontier of this study and periodicals. The conclusions that are hold at the result of this examination had been evaluated around the attitude of the architectural conciousness at community and the building environments after 1980 in Turkey. This study must be evaluated as a contribution at forming qualitily build environments in the cities of Turkey.
