Abstract (EN)
In this research, the history of illustration in Turkey and types of illustration were accompanied by examples under the title of the development of fashion illustration in Turkey, and some of the significant Turkish illustration artists were examined together with their effective works today. In addition, the following topics were discussed: fashion and fashion illustration, methods used in fashion illustration, different silhouette types, methods of obtaining silhouettes from printed sources, measurement and proportion on human body, head, portrait, hand, and feet drawings in fashion illustration, silhouette drawings in classic proportions and comparison of fashion silhouettes. In the third section, the title of Development of Fashion Illustration in Turkey was supported by discussing clothing fashion from past to present, thinking that fashion illustration would change and develop in connection with fashion. Some of the important Turkish fashion illustration artists were examined together with their effective works today. Additionally, in order to access the qualitative findings of the research, the 6 question interview form was sent to 5 participants including fashion illustrators and academicians, and it was recorded, documented, organized, and interpreted.
