Abstract (EN)
Women's (rights) movement that supports social, political and economical equality of sexes since French Revolution is a struggle against the patriarchy. Other than patriarchy, another political ideology with which women's rights movement, more spesifically feminism, often collides is conservatism. It is possible to say that conservative politics has been rising to power over the past decade in Turkey. In this study, the terms "feminism", "women's rights movement" and "conservative politics" are initially examined within the frame of Turkish and global scale and political activities of conservative women in Turkey are to be surveyed. For that purpose, legislative effectiveness, legislative proposals, parliamentary questions and investigation proposals, interpellation motions and speeches at general assembly of 24th term female AKP deputies will be analysed by using qualitive and quantitative data analysis method.
