VOICE TRAINING TAKEN IN MUSIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENTS AND IT'S REFLECTION ON THE PROFESSION OF MUSIC TEACHERS IN TÜRKİYE ( M. Sc. Thesis ) Zeynep Göknur KARA GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE January 1999 ABSTRACT This research is based on the reflections of music instructor's voice training taken in Music Education Departments in Turkey to their teaching in order to contribute for further research. For this purpose, music teachers' opinions and suggestions are taken and also Music Education Departments' voice training and this educations' contribution to music teaching are searched. In the scope of this research, as a result of questionnaries applied to a number of music instructors gradueated from G.Ü.G.E.F. that and are working in central districts of Ankara, it's pointed out that; the period and the contents of voice training in music education departments are not sufficient for the utilization of their voice in their proffesion and some proposals are made in order to relieve these deficiencies.
