Abstract (EN)
The aim of this thesis is to reveal the competitiveness of the sectors specific to certain goods groups in Türkiye in the international arena. While reaching this conclusion, first of all, explanations were made from a theoretical perspective, and the concepts of foreign trade theories and international competitiveness in macroeconomic terms were mentioned; Then, 16 countries, which were taken as the basis of the thesis and defined as Türkiye's near neighbours, were introduced in detail economic terms. Afterwards, Türkiye's regional commercial competitiveness was interpreted by using the comparative advantage index and supported by Balassa and Vollrath Theories. The thesis has been prepared using data from the years 2000-2020. With this study, it has been seen that while Türkiye has a comparative advantage in some commodity groups regionally, it has a comparative disadvantage in some commodity groups.
