Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to compare the influences of the credits used from World Bank (WB) by some chosen countries (Turkey, Argentina, Egypt, Nigeria, South Korea and India) on their economies via the database which is taken from WB website.WB determined its mission as reconstruction of the ruined Western Europe countries after Second World War and to make it easier of those without a problem from war economy and help to the developing countries development.During the periods of the crisis that effect the developing economies, emergency conditions and postwar rehebilitation requirements have become the significant role in its (WB) activities. Starting mission of WB has changed over time in parallel to the changing of world?s conjuncture and nowadays its mission is to reduce global poverty and to improve the life standarts.In the first part the structure of WB and credit types, in the second part the relation between WB and Turkey are studied. In the third part the credits used from WB during the period of 1990-2009 by Turkey and other five countries and their sectoral distrubition are analyzed. While analyzing the changes of economic indicators of those countries are compared. An analysis has been made over the credits? efficiency by utilizing the changes of economic indicators of which may illuminate those countries? economies and development levels.In the conclusion part, Turkey?s performance is compared to the other countries? performances. It is observed that Turkey?s performance is at the average extent among other countries.
