Özet (EN)
Migration, in its simplest sense, is the movement of a person or persons to move geographically. There are some positive and negative effects on immigrants and immigrants in post-migration and immigrant societies. Particularly, the social effects experienced in the countries receiving immigration after mass migration draw attention. The Republic of Turkey has experienced many migration processes since its establishment due to its geographical location. The mass migration that took place especially after the civil war in Syria in 2011 is the highest population mobility that Turkey has experienced in the history of migration. Today, Turkey hosts 3.6 million people with its open door policy towards mass migration from Syria. As a matter of fact, this high population mobility has also affected Turkey's socio-economic structure and refugees who took refuge in Turkey. This study chronologically evaluates the inclusiveness of Turkey's immigration policy since the proclamation of the Republic. At the same time, it includes the analysis of the effects of the mass migration from Syria to Turkey after 2011 on the socio-economic structure and the problems experienced by the refugees and offers suggestions. They state that the socio-economic effects experienced in Turkey after the mass migration and the solution to the problems experienced by Syrian refugees can be inclusive, protective and holistic, not exclusionary.
