Abstract (EN)
This study aims to reveal the changes in exports by analyzing the historical and sectoral developments in Turkey's exports structure from 1980 to present. In addition, four different scenarios are developed to analyze the $ 500 billion export target set for the year 2023 which is the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Republic of Turkey. This analysis especially examines whether increase in exports is developing towards goods with high added value. Within this framework, exports diversification which is thought to be one of the factors affecting the competition power in exports, is evaluated by taking current economic dynamics into consideration, and sector and product diversification is examined at provincial level. Final section of this study tries to measure regional diversification level by company size concentration index, and country based condensation index. The results of the model show that the concentration increases export volume.
