Historical background of turkey's first motor vehicle jeep willys and the design and calculations of its hybrid model

Since the date of their invention, automobiles have been the basic tools of life. As in all over the world, there have been several kinds of research and operations in the field of automobiles in Turkey. One of these studies is on montaging the parts of Jeep Willys which is a vehicle that had been used in Turkey for some kinds of branches for many years. In our dissertation, essential calculations have been made with the aim of forming a hybrid model of Jeep Willys. In consequence of calculations, the power needed for moving such a car has been identified. The selection of electric engine, power supply and fuel-injection engine for fulfilling this power has been made. It has been targeted to provide needed fuel from biodiesel fuel which is an alternative option for hybrid model. For this purpose, some research has been made on power supplies, engines and biodiesel fuel and on the basis of current hybrid models, we have attempted to explain that a new hybrid Jeep Willys can be composed.
