Abstract (EN)
With the dissolution of the USSR, the South Caucasia and Central Asian Turkish Republics gained their independence. This region has faced global competition because of its rich oil and natural gas resources as well as strategic-geopolitical importance.In this study, comparing the oil and gas potential of Caucasia and Central Asia in world-scale, it is received priority to focusion the secret-open competition of the states on extraction and transportation of the region?s energy resources and reflections of this great game to the region and energy-oriented foreign policies of states. It also indicated the role of Turkey?s strategic and geopolitical position in the competition of the transport of oil and natural gas resources in the Caucasia and Central Asia. The risks related to Turkey?s interion to be energy corridor and terminal are mentioned together with the strategic advantages and benefits of pipelines.Keywords: Pipelines, Natural Gas, Energy, Global Energy Competition, Petroleum, Energy Policies of Turkey.
