Abstract (EN)
This study aims to determine the scope of the Turkish Furniture industry,structure of the export, problems and suggestions for solving the problemswithin the respective sector. In order to get the purposes of the study, aquestionnaire was carried out and conducted in some of the randomly selected97 firms, which are located in Bursa and Ankara. According to the results,although the furniture indsuty has a great potential in terms of production,most of the firms work with the production of order-purchase, and have lowexport. However, bigger scaled firms have large exportation potential. As aresult, for increasing the export it was concluded that small and medium scaledfirms should be informed about the bureaucratic procedures, bureaucraticobstacles should be reduced, the number of government institutes should beincreased for marketing research and information flow, and governments?supports should be given for exportations and more firms make benefit of thesefacilities.
