Turkey's migration policies in the framework of the European Union after the Syria crisis

The phenomenon immigration and migration has become one of the chronic problems of the world with globalization. States have produced various policies to solve this chronic problem and these policies have continued with cooperation between countries and bilateral agreements. After obtaining the status of a candidate country for the European Union, Turkey started to work on harmonization with the European Union in its policies towards migration and immigrations. İn this study, the history and immigration policies of the European Union were examined. Afterwards, Turkey's migration history and EU harmonization studies are mentioned. Especially after the Syrian crisis in 2011, the developments in Turkey's legislation, administrative structure and policies are included.
