Television has become one of the indispensable means of communication in our daily life. With the development of communication technologies, television becomes even more effective in shaping individuals' thoughts and behaviors. Television has played an essential role with its functions of informing and educating society, transmitting inter-communal culture, and solving social problems. Television serials have gained high acclaim within and outside of Turkey in recent years, creating a large audience. Turkish TV series receive great appreciation from Djiboutian students who study in Turkey. This study aims to examine Djiboutian students' perceptions of Turkish TV series and their motivation to watch them. In this context, the in-depth interview method was applied and the purposeful sampling method was used. The sample of the study consisted of a 24-person group of Djiboutian students studying in Ankara and Çankırı provinces. Students were interviewed face to face for 5-15 minutes and the data were collected using the interview form.
