Abstract (EN)

In the thesis, the comprehension of "nationalism" and "Kemalism" meta-narratives by today's society, created by the Republican revolution are interrogated through postmodern information during Turkey's modernization period. In the period of modernity, meta-narratives that draw the framework of the nation-states established by encircled rules of positivism, are gradually replaced to pluralistic discourses in today's postmodern world with the rapid change of communication technologies. For this reason, "Kemalism" and "nationalism" meta-narratives are examined within a research universe based on the relationship between postmodernity and communication technologies. The research universe of the thesis is determined as Ekşi Sözlük. It has been selected as a postmodern structure, reflecting our postmodern world precisely because it is a platform allowing pluralism, anonymity, intertextuality and free discussion under each entry headline being documented. The reason for this is, Within the framework of this idea, the narratives of "Kemalism" and" nationalism" which were established during the Republic period, the reflications of postmodern society on pluralist language are questioned by using deconstructive reading method of Jacques Derrida.
