The Differences of achievement motivation and sport experiences levels of Turkish professional 1., 2., 3. league and amateur league players

The first purpose of this study was to determine achievement motivation and sport experience differences among Turkish 1., 2., 3., league and amateur league teams. Second purpose was to determine whether sport experience had an effect on achievement motivation or not. In our study, from 1st league Ankaragücü (n=19), 2nd league Şekerspor (n=22), 3rd league Çubukspor (n=21) and amateur league Ostimspor (n=22), a total of 84 subjects participated. In order to obtain achievement motivation points of the subjects, 40 questions achievement motivation scala was used. This test was composed of three subscalas (motive to strength showing, motive to approach succeed, motive to avoid failure). Subjects achievement motivation points were determine from their points taken from these subscalas. In otherwords, we survey if there was a significant differences among subscalas or not. (3x4) variance analyses was used to determine if there were significant differences among four subjects groups point taken from three subscalas. To understand the sources of differences among subject groups Tukey-B test was used. To determine subjects sport experiences 9 questions, sport experiences test was used. When it comes to evaluation, points given from left side to right side as 4-3-2-1 for the questions took place in the scalas. (1x4) variance analyses was used if there were significant differences or not among subjects points. To obtain the sources of differences among subjects groups Tukey-B test was used. In order to determine whether a sport experience had an effects on achievement motivation or not, correlation statistics technigue was used.
