Abstract (EN)
This research problematizes the possibility of a counter hegemony in Turkey and it is interested in understanding the capacity of the women's movement in Turkey in leading an agonistic articulation between different social demands. Research in this study revolves around the following question: Could women's movement which has a strong reaction mechanism be constituent actor of counter-hegemony?" So, it tries to understand how women's movement in Turkey conceptualizes the existing power relations that constitute the current hegemony. In that respect, women's movement in Turkey is assessed from the perspective of radical democracy theory of Chantal Mouffe and Ernesto Laclau.
