Abstract (EN)

In the developing world, the role of the energy sector is very important economically, socially and politically. Due to the increasing population and developing industry, the need for energy is increasing day by day. Recently, there has been a significant increase in renewable energy investments due to limited fossil resources, environmental friendliness, and government incentives. But fossil fuels are still the primary source of energy production in the world. The main purpose of this study is to establish a framework to support the decision making process for wind energy investments, one of the renewable energy investments. To this end, the main criteria that affect investors' decisions will be determined based on a comprehensive literature search and an investigation of industry practice. The relevant criteria are to be handled by multi-criteria decision making methods. In this research, economic criteria such as policies and regulations, investment costs, and the most important factors in the decision making process of wind energy investments are taken into consideration. Research findings are expected to assist and guide investors with multi-criteria decision-making methods to evaluate their investment competencies.
