Industry 4.0. transformation in Turkey: the problems,decisive factors in development process andprospective effects

Industrialization as concept, which started to take its place in the global economy towards the end of the 18th century with the Industrial Revolution, has taken a new shape now. Industrialization is now being defined in the light of technological advancements, as these advancements are being utilized in the production systems. In the light of this information, after the first Industrial revolution, countries that manage to integrate the ever advancing technologies to their production have reached their place as Industrialized nations in the international stage. If we take a look at the Turkey's experience so far in order to become an industrialized country we can deduce that after many attempts instead producing technology, Turkey does more of technology transfer, unable to go any further than being a industrializing country. The purpose of this project is to examine the defining factors of Turkey's change to Industry 4.0 putting a light on the problems Turkey, a country that still insists on the classical industrialization systems that fails to grasp its full potential, faces on the path to Industry 4.0. The problems in the production industry, which is considered an indicator of improvements in the Turkey's economy, needs to be spotted and fixed, education, R&D and innovation must be focused on along the way to Industry 4.0 for viii Turkey to have the opportunity to have a bigger place in the global economy. So that, The conditions to ensure a better share from the global value chain of Turkey will be appear.
