Migration in Türkiye politics: Syrian migration and immigrants in the minutes of the GNAT

It is a phenomenon called migration, in which people, groups and nations move to different places from the lands they belong to or feel they belong to at various times throughout the history of the world, and it has deeply affected the world and international relations for political and military reasons. As a result of the civil war that Syria has experienced, the economic, military, political and social consequences of the deterioration of its national integrity and security have affected the whole world to such an extent that it will enter the history of world migration The turmoil caused by the civil war in Syria affected Syria the most and the Syrian people, and then Turkey. Even though the civil war will end completely one day, it remains an indisputable reality that the said effects will last for many years. In this research, the approaches of political parties in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) to the issue of Syrian migration between the years 2012-2021 were examined. In this context, it is aimed to evaluate the causes, results and effects of Syrian migration comparatively. Thus, the research focuses on Turkey's policies on Syrian migration and immigrants and the holistic presentation of critical perspectives on these policies. In the research, in which the content analysis method was used, it was prioritized to determine and present the approaches of Turkey to the Syrian migration issue in a concrete way. In this context, the research is also important in terms of determining the obstacles and problem areas in establishing a common attitude towards Syrian migration and immigrants in the TBMM.
