Political Parties are the essential element of democracy. Today, modern state and them become interrelated two non-separable concepts and it could not be-imagened a state without any political party. Beside their importance in the overall plan, the ongoing debate in among almost all civil layers of society about the status quo brought by 1982 Constitution and the Political Parties Law with the title number 2820, very high incidence of their encounters with the sanctions aimed to close them which could not be seen in any western country as well as the cases summoned to close some of them and still being held in the Supreme Court prove the necessity that this matter should be given more importance. Proceeding further with this idea and point of view, this study in which the regime of the political party closedowns in our country will be analyzed, examines in which frame they will perform their activities, the border lines of this field of activity and the corner stones of this border, after explaining the kinds and the status of them by moving a long the general theoretical line. The thesis includes three sections. In the first section, the concept of the party, the importance of them, their functions, historical developments, the necessary conditions for the formation, party's interior regulations and their endings were identified. In the second part, the limitations and sanctions created by the Political Parties' Law and sometimes getting over the constitutional jurisdiction are shown clearly by being analyzed the party sanction in our legal system separetely first in the constitutional frame and then in the legal frame. In the final section, the closing orders and the status of the parties in the mean of the rulings of the Supreme Court, variety of closedowns and the final Decisions of European Human Rights Court are studied by being taken the examples from practice. For the conclusion, the articles about the sanctions are the party close-ups in 1982 Constitution and Political Parties Law should be put into the legal frame the same as the real democracies do for this reason, the party sanctions should be limited and it must be impossible to close them unless they use the violence or they encourage the people to use the violence.
