Abstract (EN)
Justifying all means possible to achieve its aim, terrorism is a phenomenon as old as the humanity itself. Terror's aim and strategy throughout time has evolved in parallel to the technological developments and the socio-economic structure. In conjunction with its ideology, it has taken advantage of the religious-racial-economical and the social structures of the societies which it had destructed in order to finance itself. Although terrorism is an important phenomenon in today?s context, lack of studies in this field draws some attention. In this study, terror's effect on Turkey's economy have been observed in provincial basis. Data from 1990 to 2007 were utilized to explain terror's effect on Turkey's economy using Dynamic panel data method for 67 provinces.
