The posi̇ti̇ons and i̇mportance of the musi̇c courses that gi̇ve theatre and acti̇ng educati̇on at li̇cence programs i̇n turkey

The purpose of this study define the situations about courses structure, structure hours, versions and contents of music education under the context of theatre/ performing arts education in bachelor degree in higher institution. In the theoretical part of the study, by doing research search the theoretical basis of the research related to subject is riched. Qalitative and Quantitative Resarch Designs are used as research methods. Scanning Model is used as the research design. The data is obtained from AU – DTCF (Ankara University, Language, History and Geography Faculty) Theatre Department syllabuses. It is detected that in Theatre Department, during four years totally 417 hours courses are taught. In these courses there are 11 types couses in music teaching and these courses are studied as 28 courses hours with 13 hours duration. This duration constitutes the 7 % of total courses. This data shows that music education has an important place in Theatre/Acting Department. The results are gotten according to these data and added to the results chapter in our study.
